Why is Becky Bigelow married to 81-year-old Ron Miscavige? With Ron, it started with his last name along with the stature that his younger son brought to it. She wanted that. And at a certain point Becky wanted more. She wanted money, too.
The problem was that Ron, her elderly husband, was nothing more than a pots and pans salesman who had squandered money on prostitutes and porn, and later was third trumpet in a band.
Ron’s claim to fame is his last name, which his younger son made famous.
Now Becky is behind the scenes stoking Ron’s efforts to exploit his son’s fame and betray his own family. It is Becky who cheers on Ron, encouraging him to sell out his family, showing no concern that by betraying his children he would live out his remaining years a miserable, sad man.

Becky wanted to “win the lotto.” Ron’s exploitation of his family is her opportunity to pad the nest egg and squeeze everything out of him that she can before he’s gone and use the opportunity to try to gain some attention and spotlight herself. Like Ron, Becky is running her own con, using her husband’s family to make a buck and get her “15 minutes” in the spotlight, even though it makes her look like a gold digger.

When she and Ron first hatched his family extortion plot, they were shacking up with his namesake older son, Ronnie. Except it all blew up in their faces when within weeks Ronnie was arrested in connection with an FBI drug and prostitution sting. Becky was right there, covering up the crime with her husband.
They needed a way out of that situation and a new plan. So she did Ron’s bidding. Becky called a family friend of 40 years, Marion, to tell her she and Ron wanted to move to Wisconsin leaving out the fact that the older, namesake son they were living with had been busted in an FBI sting.
Ron wanted assistance to buy a house and cover his medical expenses. And his younger son gave it with no strings attached out of his personal funds, because of the younger son’s compassion. As an act of kindness and generosity Ron’s younger son gave Ron $100,000 to buy a home. As a result of the gift, Ron purchased a home mortgage-free for the first time in his life. Becky treated it as if she personally had finally won the lottery.
On top of the funds for a home, the younger son added $5,000 annually so Ron could purchase medical and dental insurance. This generosity would let Ron live out his life in peace.
Becky well knows that when Ron asked his younger son for help, he was given it. But like Ron, Becky only saw the dollar signs and had no heartfelt appreciation or gratitude for the kindness and generosity Ron’s younger son showed his father.
No sooner was the check cashed than she was back at it, prodding Ron to put his hands out again demanding more. They didn’t even pause long enough to acknowledge the latest and largest of the generous gifts Ron received from his younger son, like the many Ron had received from this same son throughout Ron’s tragic life.
Ron and Becky didn’t even pause long enough to acknowledge the latest and largest of generous gifts Ron received from his younger son, like the many Ron had received from him throughout his life. That included hiring a top legal team in 1985 when Ron was arrested for attempted rape that succeeded in getting the charges dropped.
That included that younger son hiring a top legal team in 1985 when Ron was arrested for attempted rape that succeeded in getting the charges dropped against Ron. It enabled Ron to avoid a potential prison sentence that would have kept him from ever meeting Becky. But neither Ron nor Becky cares about all of the generous things his younger son has done for Ron in the past. It’s all about how much money they can get their hands on.
That’s why Becky shamelessly applauded when Ron and a handful of anti-Scientologists tried to make a buck exploiting his son’s fame. Ron had decided to publicly lie about his own son through his newfound friends, who included individuals involved in harassing his own daughter and her husband through frivolous litigation.
Ron’s daughters, called Becky and told her how they felt about what their father was doing and that she needed to stop manipulating him to sell out their family. Becky’s response to their phone call? By no mere coincidence she made this sinister posting on Facebook: “I know who I am and what I’m capable of. You’d be wise not to underestimate me.”
Becky is the one in the background, egging on their father to make her some money. Counseling him, encouraging him and playing with his head to betray his family.
Becky is the one in the background, egging on their father to make her some money even if it means hurting his own family. It is sad to see her counseling him, encouraging him and playing with his head to betray his own family.
Becky may tell Ron that she is sticking by him until the bitter end. But in the past, when he was out of earshot, she has bitterly complained about him and deep down, she’s scared of Ron’s temper. Becky’s heard Ron admit on national TV that he beat his first wife, Loretta, once a month for 10 years. That’s 120 times! Becky also knows that Ron’s daughters say that it was even worse, and that he even beat them when they were girls.
Becky also knows that Ron’s daughters say that it was even worse, and that he even beat them when they were girls. Becky knows how Ron was arrested for attempted rape.
That’s why she’s in a panic about him getting the credit card bills and yelling at her for using the card on a purchase he doesn’t like.
Becky complains that Ron is a control freak. He calls her nonstop, sometimes 5-6 times a day. He gets very upset if she does not call him back immediately. She has said it enrages him.
Becky’s mother apparently feels the same way. She expressed disgust about Ron for years. She referred to him as a “leech,” “bastard” and “S.O.B.”
She had told people years ago that Becky feels similarly, that she only tolerates Ron so she can get his money and that she considers Ron a joke.
Becky’s mother also once disclosed Becky keeps her own money separate from Ron’s and doesn’t want Ron knowing how much she has.
Becky is just waiting it out, working to get as much as she can while Ron is still around. And Becky is complicit in Ron exploiting his family with lies.
Becky is complicit in Ron exploiting his family with lies. She has said in the past how caring Ron’s younger son is toward him. Just one of many examples occurred when that son made all of the arrangements and paid for Ron’s trip back to Pennsylvania for the funeral of Ron’s brother, Red. He also bought Ron a new suit, paid for a beautiful floral arrangement that Ron had forgotten to buy and had two long-term and close friends accompany Ron and Becky so they wouldn’t have to worry about anything, including ironing Ron’s clothes! Becky wrote: “[It was] a demonstration of a really caring being [Ron’s younger son] who wanted to take the anxiety and stress off his father.”
Becky wrote: “[It was] a demonstration of a really caring being [Ron’s younger son, David] who wanted to take the anxiety and stress off his father.”
Finally, Becky admitted what neither Ron nor she is willing to admit today. That Ron’s younger son only wanted the best for his father. In fact, Becky wrote that the son “Just wants him [Ron] to be contributing and happy.” How true. And what does Becky want? To make a buck off the good name of her husband’s son with salacious lies. That’s shameful.
