Amber Mellor has been in the Sea Organization for 22 years and
has been at Golden Era Productions for 9 years. She has worked under Mr. David
Miscavige since 2001, specifically over film production since 2007. Amber directly refutes Ron Miscavige’s claim in
interviews and in his book that the Golden Era staff is under unusual pressure
and deadlines because of Mr. Miscavige. “Apparently
Ron made this accusation that we always operate from ridiculous
release dates, deadlines from Chairman of the Board. And the
ridiculous thing about that is every movie studio in the world has a release
date. If you’re going to come out with a film, there’s a date. It has to go into
the movie theaters, it has to go everywhere. There’s big premieres. So just
like that, we have the same thing. There’s events, they get released, there’s
things that happen. And the other thing that is really ridiculous about it is
he never worked on it. He wasn’t shooting it, he wasn’t scripting it, I never
even saw him. So, for him to say such a thing, I don’t even know what he is
talking about because he never had that pressure, he was not making the movie,
he was not scoring it and not making any decisions. So, it’s kind of really
ridiculous.”
